The Riverland region of South Australia, less than two hours from Adelaide, is a magical wellness destination. It’s where Australia’s longest river, the mighty Murray, curves its way through the stunning landscape, with its towering cliffs, meandering creeks and expansive floodplains.
There are so many experiences to help you relax and recharge. Float down the Murray on a luxury houseboat, paddle along the calm backwaters of Chambers Creek, take a walk along the riverfront in Renmark, capture the colours at Headings Cliff Lookout, or camp under the myriad of stars at Katarapko National Park.
And there’s nothing quite like being nourished by fresh seasonal produce sourced straight from the growers in the Riverland. It’s a fertile place known for its abundance of almonds, stone fruit, citrus, grapes, avocados and olives and you can stock up at local providores, roadside stalls and cellar doors.
