Forest bathing

Green therapy

There’s nothing quite like a dose of nature to help us reset, and in Japanese culture one of the best ways to get some green therapy is known as Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing. This peaceful practice has a host of health benefits, from lowering blood pressure, to strengthening the immune system, and improving sleep.

So how do you do it? All it takes is a slow, mindful walk in nature where you gently and intentionally focus on the sights, sounds, smells and feel of the world that surrounds you in that moment. And you don’t have to travel far - it’s all about being present and connecting with your breath.
