The Southern Ocean Walk is an all-inclusive fully guided 4-day walk only 90 minutes from Adelaide but a world away from city life.
It incorporates sections of the renowned Heysen Trail and features some of the most dramatic coast lines in Australia, showcasing 7 secluded beaches, 2 national parks and an amazing waterfall.
Graded as moderate in difficulty, the walk has sections that feature sandy shorelines and gentle slopes but also includes some steep climbs and descents in more rugged terrain. You’ll cover approximately 52kms with average daily distances of 14 km over 6 hours at a comfortable pace with ample time for refreshments and photos.
Expect to see a range of native animals in their natural habitat, both land and marine based. Knowledgeable guides interpret the flora and fauna and share the history of the region. At the end of each day guests are transferred to a cosy homestead to rest and sample delicious local produce including a 3-course wine paired meal.
The Southern Ocean Walk is a curated adventure for those seeking genuine nature based experiential travel. It’s offered each Monday between 1 April and 30 September.
