Byron Farmers Market was started in 2002 by a handful of local farmers who wanted to sell their produce directly to the public, thereby reducing food miles and ensuring their small farms remained viable. It is now hosted every Thursday morning, offering the freshest produce in Byron, direct from local farmers. The team also run a market at Bangalow in the carpark of the Bangalow Hotel every Saturday morning.
