Your hosts Pure SA will take you on this three-hour guided walk through the unspoilt Morialta National Park, located just 30 minutes from central Adelaide.
Morialta is part of the traditional lands of the Kaurna people and derives its name from the Aboriginal word ‘Moriatta’ meaning ‘ever flowing’. The waterfalls, gorges and 500 hectares of natural bushland have been a popular escape for locals for more than a century.
Your experienced guide will help you reconnect with nature as you discover hidden caves, panoramic lookouts, remarkable rock faces and seasonal waterfalls. The hike takes in an abundance of native flora and wildlife including spotting wild koalas and birdlife such as the rare Golden Whistler, Superb Fairy-wrens, Rainbow Lorikeets and Kookaburras.
The walk is great for beginners or experienced bushwalkers with an easy relaxed pace over the 6km. A good level of fitness and mobility is required.
We love that this tour provides an active and immersive experience that enriches the understanding of nature and the importance of caring for it.
This tour is held on Tuesdays and Sundays or on request for private groups.
