Many parts of the Narooma, Bega Valley and Bermagui region of the NSW South Coast hold sacred significance for the Yuin Aboriginal community, yet the stories are not widely known. This 2-night retreat invites you to visit, walk and listen to sacred dreaming of Djirringanj country, heartland of the Yuin people.

During this immersive experience you will have the opportunity to participate in and witness traditional Aboriginal wellness sessions, dance, yidaki (didgeridoo), and yarning circles. Meet and learn from knowledgeable Aboriginal guides – the traditional custodians and community from the Yuin nation with generational traditional interpretation. Learn about the Yuin people’s creation story and the Aboriginal Dreaming, history and culture.

Day trips include a walk on Country to take in all the wisdom of Gulaga Mountain; or a drive and walk tour to see significant areas for the Yuin people following the Djirringanj Dreaming trail. Experience a traditional sound healing workshop, cooking demonstration and cultural interpretation of the oldest food and healing techniques in the world.

This is a truly grounding and nourishing retreat on so many levels.
